FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What statutory contributions apply to payroll?
Malaysian payroll typically involves EPF (KWSP), SOCSO (PERKESO), EIS and monthly tax deduction (PCB/MTD). We calculate and submit all of them.
Do you prepare EA forms for employees?
Yes, we provide this service — but note it is charged separately and is not included free in the basic payroll fee. We'll quote you the fee.
Has the SOCSO/EIS wage ceiling changed?
Yes — from 1 October 2024 the SOCSO and EIS contribution wage ceiling was raised to RM6,000. We apply the current rates automatically.
Can you take over our payroll mid-year?
Yes. We can take over at any time — we set up your employee and statutory records and continue seamlessly.
How do we send you payroll data each month?
Simply send us any changes (new hires, leavers, variable pay, claims) and we handle the rest — WhatsApp or email works.
What is the minimum wage in Malaysia?
The national minimum wage is RM1,700 per month (in force since 2025). It applies to basic pay only — allowances, bonuses and overtime don't count toward it.
How is overtime calculated?
Employees earning RM4,000 a month or less are entitled to overtime: 1.5× the hourly rate on a normal day, 2× on a rest day, and 3× on a public holiday. We apply these correctly in your payroll.
Do you handle CP22, CP22A and CP21?
Yes. When you hire, lose or transfer an employee out of Malaysia, we prepare and submit the required LHDN notifications online via the e-SPC system — CP22 for new hires, CP22A for those ceasing employment, and CP21 for employees leaving the country.
